As with other Board members, the Treasurer of the Board shares the duties and responsibilities of all Board members. Specific to this position are the following responsibilities: Works closely with the Executive Director to manage the finances of the Organization, including the Board’s directions related to financial responsibilities, and oversees financial reporting for the AGM; Ensures appropriate financial reports are made available to the Board; Regularly reports to the Board on key financial events, trends, concerns, and assessment of fiscal health; After consultation with the Executive Director, provides the annual budget to the Board for members’ approval; Ensures development and Board review of financial procedures and systems; Recommends to the Board if an audit is required and will assist in the selection of an auditor if needed; and May work with a Finance Committee. #J-18808-Ljbffr
