The position is an 8‑month co‑op program focused on supporting Advisor Channel Sales (ACS) through data analysis, reporting, and process improvement. Job Description RBC Global Asset Management (RBC GAM) is the asset management division of Royal Bank of Canada, offering global investment management services. The team manages approximately $680 billion in assets and employs 1,600+ people worldwide. What is the opportunity? As a member of the Sales Technology & Analytics (ST&A) team, your primary purpose is to provide support to the Advisor Channel Sales management team, a national wholesale group that promotes RBC Global Asset Management mutual funds to Canadian investment advisors. What will you do? Sort daily sales alerts, identify uncategorized transactions and attach representative codes to the appropriate investment advisors, and produce a monthly metrics report. Bridge advisor prospecting by using Excel and SQL to locate new advisors for the national sales team and create reports on prospecting progress. Create and improve tools and reporting processes to enhance efficiency. Generate and format standard and ad‑hoc reports from the CRM system for the Relationship Liaison and ACS teams. Participate in event planning and pre‑event reporting for ACS events and conferences. Lead the “data hygiene” effort in the CRM to maintain accurate, high‑quality data. Track the success of sales initiatives and build Excel dashboards that analyze progress and net benefits. Engage in unique projects such as software integration, reflecting the continuous improvement focus of the ST&A team. Perform administrative duties as required. What do you need to succeed? Technical Excellent computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn programs such as Salesforce, Tableau, SharePoint. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills: pivot tables, formulas, VLOOKUP, sort & filter, macros. Knowledge of VBA & SQL is a plus. Financial Basic understanding of Canadian securities industry and regulatory environment. Knowledge of mutual fund types and structures (nice to have). Interest in investment management. Soft Skills Problem‑solving and data interpretation. Detail orientation. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Independent and collaborative work ability. Excellent time management and multitasking. Efficiency in fast‑paced environments.
