Senior Joint Interest Contract Analyst
On behlaf of our client Procom is seeking a Senior Joint Interest Contract Analyst to provide essential drafting, analytical, and administrative support within the their portfolio of jointly owned assets. This role involves drafting, analyzing, interpreting, implementing, and administering various Joint Interest and ad-hoc agreements, maintaining systems, preparing reports, and supporting the larger Conventional Commercial Services and Business Development group. This is a two year contract in downtown Calgary.
Senior Joint Interest Contract Analyst Job Details:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Drafting all types of Joint Interest (JI) agreements to document and execute on commercial and business development opportunities.
- Reviewing and implementing agreement amendments, revisions, ownership changes, fee changes, obligations, contact/address changes, etc.
- Maintaining accurate data for facilities and pipelines, including working interest updates.
- Supporting Acquisition and Divestiture (A&D) transactions including agreement reviews, due diligence, and question & answer sessions.
- Managing SAP workflows for joint interest Authorization for Expenditure (AFE's).
- Acting as the primary contact for third-party tie-in activities including the management of change (MOC) process.
- Providing ad-hoc administrative support to the JI team.
Senior Joint Interest Contract Analyst Mandatory Skills:
- Legally eligible to work in Canada.
- Completion of PJVA Administration & Analyst Certificates.
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in Oil & Gas, preferably in a Joint Interest Department.
- Understanding of conventional and oil sands upstream production operations.
- Strong ability to analyze complex information and present findings in a clear concise manner.
Senior Joint Interest Contract Analyst Desired Skills:
- Bachelor's degree with a focus on business, analytics, or economics.
- Proficiency in MS Office, SAP, CS Land, Accumap, ArcMap, Enverus.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and coordinate multiple tasks with conflicting priorities.
Senior Joint Interest Contract Analyst Start Date:
Anticipated start date is mid-May 2024.
Senior Joint Interest Contract Analyst Location:
This hybrid position is based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, at the downtown office.
