Mechanical Engineer HVAC / Refrigeration - BARRIE, ON (relocation opportunity) We are developing a strong line of new products for the market which requires substantial design input. To do this we are expanding our design and development team, which requires a Mechanical Engineer - HVAC. The position will allow the candidate to be an integral part of the core development team. All design, research and development are done in-house. Being part of the design team will allow you this unique opportunity to work on and take ownership of many aspects of the development of the machines. Job Requirements: Develop new product designs based on in-house testing and development Previous experience with C02 refrigeration units System performance calculations Setting up various scenarios and layouts by creating machine models and components. Generate applicable calculations, drawings and bills of materials for equipment. Sourcing, and reviewing components for applicable assemblies. Work with operations personnel to gain feedback for product development and refinement. Analyze for compliance with applicable standards. Preparation of technical documents. Preparing procedures, performing and evaluating tests of components and final assemblies. Prepare test reports and recommendations. Work with sub-vendors to finalize components. Evaluate the design in the final product format and functionality. Support production and sales. Qualifications and Experience 5+ years’ experience with mechanical product design and development 5+ years’ experience with HVAC equipment and refrigeration 5+ years’ experience with testing and field troubleshooting Previous work on SolidWorks 3D software is beneficial Previous experience with C02 refrigeration units Education Engineering Degree or Engineering Technician/Technologist Diploma Hours: Mon-Thurs 7:30 am – 5 pm, Fri 7:30 am – 11:30 am Salary: Commensurate on experience permanent, full time Flexible Group benefits Package RESP/RPP with company matching up to 5% Fuze HR Solutions is committed to building a diverse, accessible, and equitable workforce.
