Description Skills and Experience Requirements Programmer and Development Skills - 65% Experience in systems design, configuration, integration, and development; IT security; programming concepts, languages, and related methods, techniques, practices, and standards in JAVA, J2EE, JSF, HTML/DHTML, XML/XSL. Experience with open-source software such as Spring, myBatis, Bootstrap, jQuery. Hands-on experience in n-tier web-based application development using Oracle database. Development experience with emerging technologies such as Web Services, web responsive frontend development, AODA compliant solutions. Experience with reporting tools like Jasper. Proven experience supporting the SDLC (agile/iterative) and implementing business-critical software applications and systems. Hands-on experience with Oracle SQL scripts and a good understanding of RDBMS. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills - 30% Analytical skills to assess feasibility, make recommendations, and develop customized strategies for solving complex problems. Strong consultation, interpersonal, and teamwork skills to discuss client requirements, lead discussions on system development options, and collaborate effectively with colleagues and clients. A proven team player with a track record of meeting deadlines. Public Sector Experience - 5% Experience with Public Sector applications, information architecture, methodologies, and GO–ITS standards is an asset. Familiarity with Public Sector Threat Risk Assessment (TRA) and Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) processes. Must-haves: Experience in systems design, configuration, integration, and development; IT security; programming concepts, languages, and related methods, techniques, practices, and standards in JAVA, J2EE, JSF, HTML/DHTML, XML/XSL. Experience with open-source software such as Spring, myBatis, Bootstrap, jQuery. Hands-on experience in n-tier web-based application development using Oracle database.
