The Technical Analyst work involves acting as a liaison between the business/end users and IT systems development teams for business needs requiring technical solutions. Job Responsibilities/Duties Develops server applications using programming languages like Python, PHP, .NET, C++, C, VB, Delphi, etc. Apart from programming language skills, back-end development is required to achieve product functionalities and meet business needs. Identifying and analyzing business needs, conducting requirements gathering, and defining scope and objectives from a technical perspective Making recommendations for solutions or improvements to business processes that can be accomplished through new technology or alternative uses of existing technology Researching business requirements and documenting the relationships between the components of the application system (i.e., end users, business processes, data, applications, and devices) Translating business requirements into technical artifacts Requirements BS in Business, MIS, Computer Science, or related work experience 1-3 years of experience participating in client-facing requirement and solution design sessions, using appropriate technical terminology to communicate requirements and proposed solutions Hands‑on experience with requirements elicitation, analysis, documentation, and validation Working knowledge of relational databases, data modeling concepts, and data structures Strong Proficiency in SQL (T-SQL, PL/SQL, or equivalent); preferably 3+ years of experience Demonstrated ability to Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and views Understanding of standard software development methodologies and frameworks, including SDLC, Object-Oriented Design (OOD), and Agile/Scrum or RUP Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down moderately complex systems and processes Ability to quickly learn and understand business processes, system integrations, and technical architectures Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA/testers, subject matter experts, and project managers Customer-focused approach with experience interacting directly with end users and supporting solution delivery Physical Requirements Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
