Base pay range $125,000.00/yr - $145,000.00/yr NWI Precision specializes in high-precision machining of helicopter masts, turbine shafts, engine thrust links, and nuclear pressure vessel components for the aerospace and nuclear industries worldwide. Operating from a 120,000 sq. ft. facility at 9 Fenmar Drive in Toronto, our dedicated team is committed to delivering the highest quality products to specifications and on time. We are currently seeking to hire a Manager, Supply Chain. The ideal candidate will be accountable for end-to-end supply chain performance, including cost, continuity of supply, quality, inventory turns, and supplier performance, across strategic procurement, supplier management, inventory control, logistics, and capital purchasing. This role owns supply chain outcomes that directly impact operational execution, margin, cash flow, and customer delivery commitments. The Manager, Supply Chain defines and executes supply chain strategy, ensures availability of materials and services required to meet production and growth objectives, and drives continuous improvement and risk mitigation in alignment with business priorities, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Strategic Supply Chain Management: Owns the development and execution of strategic supply chain plans that directly enable year-over-year cost reduction, lead-time improvement, and continuity of supply. Delivers continuous improvement projects that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and shorten supplier and production cycle times. Strengthens resilience by implementing risk mitigation strategies, alternate sourcing, and contingency plans that protect production continuity. Holds suppliers accountable through monthly performance scorecards and structured business reviews, driving corrective and preventive actions where required. Monitors key performance indicators (KPI) across quality, cost, delivery, and inventory, ensuring alignment with operational and financial targets. Enforces compliance and ethical standards to uphold company integrity and contractual obligations. Leads supplier performance to exceed company standards for cost, quality, delivery, and responsiveness. Implements supplier development initiatives that yield measurable improvements in quality and delivery performance metrics. Expands the qualified supplier base to drive competitiveness and innovation, validating new sources to production readiness. Negotiates and maintains alternate supply sources to sustain business continuity and/or cost leverage. Accountable for total procurement performance covering raw materials, processing services, consumables, and capital investments. Supports commercial strategy through accurate and timely quote support for new business opportunities. Ensures all sourced materials meet approved engineering and process specifications. Maintains pricing, inventory parameters, and approved supplier data to ensure accurate planning and reliable purchasing decisions. Owns accurate supply chain data and reporting used in cost analysis and audits. Inventory & Logistics Management: Delivers optimized inventory turns and working capital performance through disciplined planning, forecasting, and control. Ensures logistics reliability and cost efficiency to meet on-time delivery targets to production and customers. Achieves measurable cost containment and productivity improvement goals across supply chain cost categories. Ensures swift resolution of non-conformances and defective materials in accordance with ISO and customer requirements. Cross-functional Collaboration & Compliance: Partners cross-functionally to align supply chain priorities with production and financial goals, ensuring seamless material flow and schedule adherence. Owns compliance performance for all procurement and logistics regulations, audits, and certifications. Implements disciplined procedures and best practices that sustain year-on-year improvements in efficiency and consistency. Drives alignment and accountability across operations, finance, and quality to meet shared business outcomes. Resolves material flow barriers and supplier issues proactively to protect production readiness. Team Leadership and Development: Build and mentor a high-performing supply chain team with clear objectives, development plans, and accountability for results. Foster a culture of performance, ownership, and continuous improvement across the supply chain functions. Drive alignment between supply chain objectives and the company’s operational and financial performance goals. Ensure succession readiness for key supply relocate roles through proactive capability planning. EXPECTATIONS: Achieve annual cost savings of 3–5% through sourcing strategy, negotiation, and supplier consolidation. Maintain supplier on-time delivery ≥ 95% and internal material availability ≥ 98% to support uninterrupted production. Conduct monthly supplier scorecard reviews across the top 80% of spend, driving measurable improvements in quality, cost, and delivery performance. Reduce single-source exposure by qualifying and validating 10 alternate suppliers per year. Promote a culture of accountability and structured problem-solving, evidenced by on-time completion of 100% of supplier corrective actions. HEALTH AND SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES: Work in compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSAասկ, regulations, and internal health and safety policies and procedures. QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field. Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., APICS, CSCP, CPIM, or PMP) preferred. EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE: At least 10 years of experience in supply chain management, logistics, or procurement. Strong background in supplier management, contract negotiation, and strategic sourcing. Experience in aerospace, automotive, or other Tier 1 manufacturing industries, with knowledge of specialty processes, metals, and consumable materials preferred. Proficiency in ERP and supply chain management software. Understanding of lean manufacturing, inventory control, and demand planning principles. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on continuous improvement. SKILLS & ABILITIES: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to analyze data and drive decision‑making based on supply chain metrics. Proactive mindset with a customer and relationship‑building focus.
