Product Engineer

Senior Product Engineer (P.Eng) Harbinger Network has partnered with an industry leading organization to find a Senior Product Engineer. This is for an experienced hands‑on Product Engineer who has spent several years turning complex designs into real, manufacturable Connection products — not just reviewing drawings or managing from a distance. If you take pride in practical engineering judgment, strong fundamentals wordt owning work from concept through production, this role will feel rewarding. The Role You will lead technically demanding projects involving new product development and the redesign of Diesel existing products to improve performance, cost, and manufacturability. You’ll be responsible for engineering analysis, detailed mechanical design, and ensuring designs stand up not only on paper, but on the shop floor. You’ll also review the work of others and provide guidance within a collaborative engineering team. What You’ll Be Responsible For Managing technical projects from concept to production Performing engineering calculations, layouts, stress analysis, and detailed design Maintaining and improving existing products with a focus on cost, safety, and performance Producing and reviewing detailed drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks Creating and maintaining bills of materials and complete design documentation Reviewing and verifying work completed by other engineers and junior team members Providing technical support to internal teams, suppliers, and customers as needed What You Need to Bring to the Table Engineering degree and active P.Eng designation (OR you are almost there) 7+ years of progressive engineering design experience in avon precision-focused manufacturing environment Strong mechanical design background, including materials selection and stress analysis Experience with power transmission/distribution hardware or similarly engineered mechanical products Practical knowledge of manufacturing processes such as forging, stamping, machining, welding, heat treatment, and finishing (exposure is sufficient; mastery of all is not required) The ability to clearly explain design decisions and review others’ work constructively Team & Work Style Part of a small, experienced product/design engineering team Regular interaction with manufacturing, quality, purchasing, planning, and sales Occasional customer and supplier interaction램 Supportive, relational management style — guidance is available, but micromanagement is not Who This Role Is Not For Engineers whose experience is largely theoretical, Academic, or limited to documentation Candidates who rely on a P.Eng title without deep, practical design and manufacturing experience Engineers seeking a purely conceptual, office-only, or narrowly defined role Individuals uncomfortable taking ownership, reviewing others’ work, or being accountable for final designs Those expecting highly prescriptive direction rather than engineering autonomy Additional Details Criminal background check required Salary of 90K-110K to start RRSP of up to 12% with company matching after your probationary period Onsite parking Excellent benefit package Contact Harbinger Network Harbinger Network Inc. is a Canadian-based firm that serves companies across Canada and USA, a diverse Network of Recruiters, and expertise in over 10 major disciplines.
