About the Role RockWallet is seeking a visionary and strong‑willed Director of Project Management Office (PMO ) to join our dynamic team as a strategic value orchestrator and transformation catalyst. In this pivotal role, you will elevate our Project Management Office from traditional oversight to a strategic intelligence engine that drives digital transformation and business outcomes in the rapidly evolving crypto and fintech landscape. As our PMO transformation leader, you will drive the evolution from process‑focused governance to AI‑driven, data‑centric value delivery. You will report directly to the Vice President of Operations, serving as the bridge between strategy and execution, ensuring our project management practices become competitive differentiators that fuel RockWallet’s growth and market leadership. This role demands a change agent with the tenacity to challenge the status quo and the strategic acumen to orchestrate organizational agility in our remote‑first environment. You will be responsible for establishing a next‑generation PMO that leverages artificial intelligence, predictive analytics, and hybrid methodologies to deliver breakthrough results. Your leadership will be instrumental in fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous innovation that aligns with our mission to democratize access to digital assets. The ideal candidate is a decisive, strong‑willed leader who excels in ambiguous environments and can effectively influence outcomes without formal authority across all organizational levels. You must possess the courage to make tough decisions, the vision to anticipate market shifts, and the execution excellence to transform strategic objectives into measurable business outcomes. This role is remote with a preference for applicants based in Canada and in the Eastern Time Zone (ET). Key Responsibilities Lead digital transformation initiatives through the PMO, establishing it as the strategic nerve center for cross‑functional collaboration and value realization. Architect and deploy a modern PMO operating model that balances agile flexibility with governance rigour, enabling rapid adaptation to changing business needs. Champion strategic foresight by implementing early‑warning systems and trend analysis to keep RockWallet ahead of market disruptions and regulatory changes. Cross‑functional coordination: Facilitate collaboration across cross‑functional teams to ensure that project tasks are completed on schedule and meet quality standards. Risk and issue management: Proactively identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, escalating to leadership as necessary. Master stakeholder orchestration across diverse audiences, from technical teams to board members, ensuring transparent communication and aligned expectations. Orchestrate end‑to‑end delivery across agile, waterfall, and hybrid project environments, ensuring optimal methodology selection for maximum business impact. Documentation and compliance: Ensure that all project documentation is accurate, up‑to‑date, and compliant with relevant regulations and standards. Foster an innovation mindset across project teams, encouraging calculated risk‑taking, rapid prototyping, and customer‑centric solution development and operational excellence. Drive evidence‑based optimization through advanced metrics, customer journey analytics, and outcome‑focused KPIs that demonstrate tangible business value. Champion psychological ownership and accountability culture, empowering teams to drive results through autonomy and strategic context rather than micromanagement. Candidate Profile & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a must. 7+ years of experience in project management, with at least 3 years in a senior or lead role, preferably in the crypto or fintech industry. Proven experience in establishing and managing a Project Management Office (PMO). Extensive experience managing projects across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including planning, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance. Demonstrated success in delivering projects within scope, budget, and timeline. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence, drive and manage cross‑functional teams effectively. Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills. Proficiency in Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management tools. Knowledge of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology is a plus.
