Southwestern Ontario, Canada Draughts Ltd. Full time

Draughts is a trailblazer in experiential hospitality, redefining board games for a modern audience. Our mission is to entertain our customers with amazing food and drink whilst providing a healthy balance between the analogue and digital world. We do this by creating welcoming spaces that encourage people to be present and connect with each other, playing any of the 1000 unique board games on our shelves. Our venues are uniquely designed to provide the perfect intimate atmosphere to enjoy our great service, food and drinks and games experience. Purpose As a Line Chef at Draughts, you bring precision, pride, and energy to every service. You take ownership of your section, preparing food to spec, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety, and supporting your Kitchen Manager in running an efficient, well‑organised kitchen. You understand that great food starts with consistency and care, and you play a vital role in making sure every guest leaves happy. What You Will Do You will prepare, cook, and serve each dish to the same high standard, following Draughts specifications and maintaining attention to detail even during the busiest shifts. You will keep your section organised, stocked, and spotless, helping to create a kitchen that runs smoothly and safely. You will take responsibility for due diligence, completing temperature logs, food safety checks, and daily records accurately and on time. You’ll follow all allergen and hygiene procedures, report issues promptly, and help the team stay compliant at all times. You’ll work closely with your Kitchen Manager and the wider team, supporting training for new chefs, helping with stock deliveries and rotation, and keeping waste low through smart preparation and organisation. You’ll communicate clearly, stay calm under pressure, and always be ready to lend a hand wherever needed. What We Are Looking For You care about quality and consistency. You’re organised, reliable, and take pride in maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen. You understand food safety and the importance of due diligence, and you treat those responsibilities seriously. You’re a team player who communicates clearly and brings a positive attitude to every shift. You stay focused under pressure, are curious to learn, and always look for ways to make things better. You see yourself not just as a cook, but as a key part of creating an experience, where great food and great atmosphere come together. What You Get At Draughts, you are part of a team that values creativity, curiosity and connection. We are a growing brand with big ideas, and you will have the chance to shape how we evolve. You will be supported in your development, encouraged to bring ideas to the table, and surrounded by people who care about what they do. We work hard, we learn together and we have a lot of fun doing it. And yes, there are always games. Lots of games. #J-18808-Ljbffr
