Experienced Lane Closure Technicians support safe road operations near Nanaimo by managing full closures and Traffic Management Plans. Outdoor, year-round work includes changing conditions.

Glen Group is hiring experienced LCTs for active road and infrastructure projects in the Nanaimo, BC area. The work requires confidence with full lane closures, TMPs, FLRAs, and live traffic. You will manage setups, adjust work zones, and coordinate with TCPs, supervisors, operators, and construction crews. Glen Group provides organized field support through experienced safety and traffic supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review TMPs and establish lane closures, tapers, and detours
• Calculate taper lengths, buffer zones, and sign spacing
• Position trucks, cones, signs, barricades, and arrow boards
• Monitor traffic and adjust closures as conditions change
• Complete logs, FLRAs, inspections, and incident reports

Requirements:

• Minimum one year of LCT experience is an asset
• Ability to read and draw Traffic Management Plans
• Ability to complete Field Level Risk Assessments
• Valid Class 5 licence and clean driver abstract
• Reliable, alert, communicative, and safety-focused
