Clinical Manager - After Hours, Clinical Leadership Join Hennick Bridgepoint Hospital as the Clinical Manager, After Hours, and play a vital role in ensuring our hospital operates smoothly through the night and early morning. About The Clinical Leadership Team Hennick Bridgepoint is a 474‑bed hospital serving a diverse population. The clinical leadership team includes 9 Clinical Managers, 2 Senior Directors, and Professional Practice Leaders, fostering mutual respect, continuous learning, and high‑quality, compassionate care. In This Role You Will Work as an on‑site manager and escalation point for operational matters and support staff during scheduled after‑hours shifts. Support and mentor clinicians in clinical decision‑making and ensure care areas operate in accordance with policies and procedures. Provide leadership for clinical‑related issues, incidents, complaints and respond to critical incidents including emergency codes. Act as a clinical resource for staff regarding practice, policies and procedures. Work collaboratively with clinical teams. Liaise with departments and services across the hospital (e.g., Infection Prevention and Control, Environmental Services, Food Services, Security). Authorize and optimize staff resources, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and skill mix. Promote patient‑ and family‑centered care and respond to issues identified by patients and families. Foster a positive culture among staff and provide support in problem solving, conflict management and resolution. Act as a knowledgeable resource during urgent and crisis situations while on‑site. Promote health and safety, infection prevention and control practices. Provide shift‑based handover to stakeholders to ensure continuity. Communicate with Clinical Managers and Senior Directors regarding clinical and operational issues. Escalate serious and emergency related issues to the Senior Administrator on call. Job Requirements Mandatory Current certificate of registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO). Baccalaureate Nursing Degree and Master’s Degree in a health‑related field. Current and valid Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification. Preferred Recent leadership experience. Sound nursing assessment and clinical skills. Skills and Knowledge Ability to engage, collaborate and support staff in carrying out job duties. Excellence in written, verbal communication, interpersonal, conflict resolution and negotiation skills. Highly developed critical‑thinking skills, including the ability to problem‑solve quickly and make decisions. Ability to work independently, exercise judgment and initiative. Highly adaptable and flexible in an unpredictable, result‑oriented environment. Excellent time‑management skills and ability to coordinate several activities. Knowledge and proficiency with staff scheduling, labor relations and hospital operations. Demonstrated satisfactory work performance and attendance history. Ability to establish effective working relationships. Salary Minimum $60.53/hour; Maximum $75.69/hour Employment Type Full‑time replacement opportunity.
