Machine Learning Scientist | Up to $75/hr Mercor connects elite creative and technical talent with leading AI research labs. Base pay range: $65/hr – $75/hr Position: Computer Science PhD (contract) Type: Contract Duration: 10–20 hours/week; Commitment: 10–20 hours/week Start date: Late September (applications reviewed on a rolling basis) Role Responsibilities Craft high‑quality, challenging problems with real‑world applicability to inform the future of AI innovation. Work asynchronously with a team of highly qualified experts across your domain. Solve and review challenging problems to ensure AI model performance and relevance. Contribute to a cutting‑edge project involving frontier large language models. Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure consistency and coverage across datasets. Qualifications Master's or PhD in Computer Science from a top U.S. university. High attention to detail. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Excellent proficiency in English. Currently based in the U.S., Canada, New Zealand, U.K., or Australia. Interview Process Complete a short interview to assess your domain expertise.
