What You'll Do

As the Vice President, Partnership & Programs, you will:


  • Lead with Vision: Provide strategic oversight and leadership for CUCC’s relationship and related governance and communications, with an emphasis on our relationship with Interac.
  • Strategize and Innovate: Develop and implement effective strategies for identifying, establishing, and managing strategic partnerships.
  • Explore New Opportunities: Identify and assess new strategic opportunities aligned with organizational objectives, fostering innovation within the organization.
  • Negotiate and Manage Contracts: Direct the development and management of master services agreements, service provider agreements, and other contracts, including those with credit unions.
  • Enable Collaboration: Build and implement operational models that facilitate collaboration across vendors, service providers, and partners.
  • Enhance Reputation: Represent CUCC in the marketplace, actively participating in industry events, networking with clients and partners, and ensuring effective information flow.
  • Lead and Inspire: Manage a team of professionals, providing leadership, coaching, and development opportunities.
  • Programs: Provide guidance and support to facilitate the delivery of programs and services.

Your Skills & Experience

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • Educational Background: Post-secondary education with a business emphasis or equivalent work experience.
  • Extensive Experience: 15+ years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing and/or management consulting preferably in payments.
  • Leadership Expertise: 7+ years of experience in program and project management at a leadership level.
  • Industry Knowledge: Progressive experience working within the payments industry.
  • Team Leadership: Proven ability to develop talent, provide guidance, and coaching.
  • Strategic Acumen: Ability to apply a variety of strategic frameworks to analyze problems and develop solutions.
  • Networking Skills: Proven relationship-building and networking abilities, capable of working with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels, importantly the senior executive level.
  • Sector Insight: Understanding of the Canadian credit union system, co-operative principles, and the financial services industry is preferred.
