The student will be responsible for applying tools and techniques to the evaluation of energy performance in commercial, residential and institutional buildings. Start Date January 2026 (options for an 8 or 12 month placement) Location Toronto Responsibilities Support energy modelling development through analysis of design drawings including take-offs Create energy models with the support of senior modellers Perform energy savings calculations and utility analysis for existing buildings Review building design documentation to determine the feasibility for projects to achieve various sustainability standards, including Toronto Green Standard, LEED, and Zero Carbon Building Standard Work with internal and external stakeholders on creative sustainable design solutions for projects Prepare green building-related reports and presentations Preferred Education & Experience Currently enrolled in secondary education in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Architecture, or a related field The ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing Understanding of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems We thank all candidates for their interest, however, only those being considered for an interview will be contacted.
