Position: Mechanical Engineer Type: Contractor Compensation: $75–$150/hour Location: Remote Duration: 3–4 weeks Commitment: 15+ hours/week Role Responsibilities Design questions related to Mechanical Engineering for a leading AI company. Evaluate the accuracy and depth of AI-generated content in Mechanical Engineering to strengthen model outputs. Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines while improving AI model performance. Collaborate with AI research teams to ensure consistency and relevance across datasets. Provide structured feedback to improve training data quality and downstream performance. Qualifications 4+ years full-time work experience as a Mechanical Engineer. Be based in the US, UK, or Canada. Access to a desktop or laptop computer (no Chromebooks). Compensation & Legal At-will contractor to Mercor. Paid weekly via Stripe Connect based on logged hours. Cannot support H1-B or STEM OPT status candidates.
