Join to apply for the Senior Project Manager role at Government of Yukon . Job Summary and Requirements This is a full-time permanent position working 75 hours bi‑weekly. The Senior Project Manager serves as the lead for managing high‑profile, politically sensitive, and strategic forest management projects aligned with the Yukon government’s mandate and direction. The position oversees complex projects from the initial planning stage to completion, ensuring collaboration among internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities include project‑management leadership, regulatory compliance, First Nation consultations, and stakeholder engagement to achieve effective management outcomes. Essential Qualifications Post‑secondary degree in forestry, natural resource management, environmental science, public administration, or a related field. Experience managing and leading large complex projects, including work planning, scheduling, budget preparation and management, communications, and contract management. Experience building partnerships and leading teams with diverse interests and skills. Experience using project‑management tools to plan, track, and report on project progress. Experience leading the improvement of project‑management practices within an organization, including mentoring teams in adopting best practices. Experience in implementing projects related to forest management or resource management would be an asset. Experience using Microsoft Project and Planner would be an asset. Candidates who have a combination of education, training, and experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered. Ability to lead, manage and successfully deliver large, complex projects under tight deadlines with shifting priorities. Commitment to building project‑management capacity through coaching, training, and process development. Job Requirements: Travel within Yukon on a regular basis.
