Piping Engineer

Airswift is seeking a Piping Engineer to join one of our O&G clients on a 12–18‑month contract in Calgary, AB. Responsible for engineering, analysis, and technical oversight of heavy industrial piping systems in O&G facilities. This includes above-ground supported piping and underground piping used for critical water-handling systems (e.g., produced water, injection water, cooling water, or utility systems). Key Responsibilities Develop engineering designs, specifications, and calculations for piping systems, ensuring alignment with project requirements, standards, and safety practices. Perform hydraulic and stress analysis for supported and buried piping systems. Interpret and apply codes such as ASME B31.3, ASME B31.4, API standards, and project-specific engineering criteria. Review and approve piping design deliverables (isometrics, layouts, material specs) created by designers and modelers. Coordinate with process, civil, mechanical, and project engineering teams. Provide technical guidance during construction, including resolving field queries and supporting inspections or testing. Ensure all engineering deliverables incorporate safety, operability, and maintainability considerations. Qualifications Degree in Mechanical, Piping, or related Engineering. Experience with heavy industrial piping projects (preferably O&G upstream). Knowledge of stress analysis tools (e.g., CAESAR II). Understanding of S3D or other 3D modeling platforms (user-level; not mandatory as primary operator). Strong knowledge of engineering codes and water-system piping. #J-18808-Ljbffr
