The Strategy Analyst will be responsible for supporting the design and execution of evidence-based strategies and projects that build the maturity and performance of Ontario Health Teams (OHTs). The Strategy Analyst will contribute to this work through:

  • Leading research and analysis for strategies that build the maturity and performance of OHTs.

  • Translating OHT strategies into integrated, multi-year plans and roadmaps with clear performance metrics.

  • Producing presentations and briefing notes summarizing data and evidence on OHTs and integrated care to support decision-making by Ontario Health's senior leadership team.

Here is what you will be doing:

  • Work independently to conduct research and analysis on existing models of integrated care (provincially, nationally, and internationally) including evidence in key areas such as performance reporting, monitoring and management, funding, and accountability.

  • Support the translation of Ontario Health's Corporate strategy and Annual Business Plan priorities into evidence-based and integrated strategies and projects at the portfolio level.

  • Engage subject matter experts and leaders from across the various Ontario Health portfolios, as well as external stakeholders as required to develop and inform strategic options and planning approaches.

  • Support presentation of findings to senior leadership and translate feedback into options analysis for potential future implementation within a provincial context.

  • Provide support in the development of reports/presentations for various strategic partnership meetings and activities.

  • Support the translation of strategic concepts and complex ideas into reports and presentations for a variety of audiences, corporate and external meetings and activities.

  • Support the effective management of complex, high-pace and sensitive projects, including identifying risks, developing and implementing mitigation strategies.

Here is what you will need to be successful:

Education and Experience

  • Undergraduate Degree (master degree an asset) in Business, Public Policy, Health, Administration, or relevant discipline, is required

  • A minimum of two (2) years' experience in strategy, research, planning or consulting role

  • Work experience in health care is an asset

  • Experience in stakeholder engagement and facilitation of group consensus and decision making

Knowledge and Skills

  • Knowledge of Ontario's health care system and key system priorities, including Ontario Health Teams, is an asset

  • Proven ability to develop relationships with key stakeholders to establish trust, credibility, and respect

  • Superior verbal and written communication skills and can present complex concepts clearly and effectively for senior leaders

  • Proven ability in project management, with strong time management and organizational skills

  • Strong research and analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to synthesize and visualize data and analysis into briefing materials, presentations and dashboards

  • Skilled in creating products (e.g., papers, reports, pr3esentations, diagrams) for multiple internal and external audiences

  • Ability to think strategically, ask poignant questions and understand the strategic significance of data and evaluation findings

  • Must be detail-oriented with strong problem solving, critical thinking, and negotiating skills
