Base pay range CA$70,000.00/yr - CA$90,000.00/yr Senior Investor Relations Associate Romspen is a leading Canadian non-bank mortgage lender specializing in commercial and industrial real estate mortgages. Our investments are comprised mostly of commercial and industrial first mortgages on properties primarily across Canada and the United States. We provide customized mortgage solutions for term, bridge and construction financing. The current overall real estate mortgage portfolio is $3 billion. Over the past 25 years we have invested over $8 billion in over 1000 real estate mortgages and have consistently earned strong absolute cash yields to investors. The Senior Investor Relations Associate is a key member of our Investor Relations team, responsible for providing exceptional service to our investors. This role involves managing investor inquiries, ensuring timely and effective responses, and facilitating smooth communication between investors and our team. The Investor Relations Associate will also support senior business development team members in their sales and marketing initiatives, while assisting with investor inquiries and transaction bookings. The ideal candidate will excel in a dynamic, customer-focused environment and demonstrate problem‑solving skills, and constantly strive to enhance client service and operational efficiency. Responsibilities Serve as a primary point of contact for high‑net‑worth investors, advisors, and institutional partners, providing proactive, professional, and timely support. Oversee the end‑to‑end investor onboarding process, including review and approval of subscription documents, AML/KYC, and suitability requirements. Review, process, and approve investor transactions for both direct and Fundserv accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. Liaise directly with Fund Administrators to resolve escalated issues, reconcile discrepancies, and ensure timely and accurate reporting. Act as a subject‑matter expert on Romspen funds, structures, and processes, supporting both investors and internal stakeholders. Support audits, regulatory requests, and reviews by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries. Identify process improvements and efficiencies within investor relations and fund administration workflows; assist with implementation and documentation. Participate in cross‑functional initiatives with Client Service, Compliance, Finance and Marketing. Other tasks as assigned. Qualifications At least four years of experience in investor relations, client services, or fund administration within the financial services or alternative investments industry. Post‑secondary education in Business, Finance, or a relevant field. Completion of CSC, Exempt Market Proficiency Course, or registration as an IR; advanced or additional licensing considered a strong asset. Strong understanding of private funds, exempt market products, investor reporting, and regulatory requirements. Demonstrated ability to manage complex client relationships with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment. Strong proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, experience with fund administration and CRM systems. Leadership mindset with experience contributing to team development.
