Develop tax consulting skills at Ryan through hands-on training, technical research, detailed calculations, and client-focused problem solving with experts.
As a Summer Intern, you will work side by side with subject matter experts in a team-based environment. The work focuses on identifying tax savings opportunities for Fortune 500 and 1,000 clients. Responsibilities span state, local, federal, and international taxation, including controversy support and technical memoranda.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review documentation and research taxation issues
- Work with raw data on detailed calculations
- Provide exceptional service to multi-state company clients
- Prepare protests for state and local tax controversies
- Respond to requests from clients and tax authorities
Requirements:
- Strong problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple assignments and ambiguity
- Ability to work independently and within professional teams
- Intermediate Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook knowledge
