Base pay range CA$150,000.00/yr - CA$180,000.00/yr The Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&SCM Finance Solution Architect carries the ultimate responsibility for meeting the customer requirements and completing the project. The Dynamics 365 F&SCM Finance Solution Architect will be comfortable in all aspects of delivery. They must be capable of switching between supporting or leading customer facing functional workshops and a group of functional finance consultants and business analysts, supporting technical roles including interface design, data configuration and migration and development teams, either customer based or HCLTech centric onshore and off-shore teams, working with project and program managers to effectively report on progress and risks and issues – to liaise with both internal and customer senior stakeholders – adjusting the approach and language as required for each interaction. The candidate must be extremely detail-oriented, have the ability to multitask, be meticulously organized, and be able to prioritize multiple demands in a fast-paced environment. This person will be a confident communicator and a good co-ordinator whilst being able to handle stakeholders at all levels within an organisation. They will have experience of managing teams of consultants and will be used to owning elements of the functional design and delivery. Roles and Responsibilities Drive quality and consistency within the company and champion the use of the Proven Process methodology. Ensure methodology is adhered to on all projects. Assume overall responsibility for finance solution design and architecture including clear visibility of transition from as-is solution landscape to to-be solution landscape through delivery and ownership of solution overview diagrams. Act as a functional lead across the finance functional stream and demonstrate clear approach to methodology as well as functional capabilities. Lead functional workshops with customers, document requirements and design appropriate solutions. Own the overall solution design for the finance area. Work alongside interface/integration lead and demonstrate a clear approach to methodology as well as technical capabilities. Lead functional elements of integration workshops with customers, document requirements and design appropriate solutions. Work alongside data migration lead, lead functional elements of data migration workshops with customers, document requirements and designs appropriate solutions. Own the overall configuration and gold build of the solution being implemented. Advocate adherence to standards and best practice. Understand the capabilities of the functional and development team, providing support and assistance when needed. Collaborate with customer and internal teams on solution, business and infrastructure architecture where required. Provide functional, business and solution support during D365 F&SCM implementations and collaborate with D365 CE Architects on hybrid/enterprise projects. Write and review high-level and detailed solution architecture documentation in line with the Proven Process methodology. Create Solution and Functional documentation for the project. Ensure all required documentation is completed to the required standards. Engage with the test team to ensure the solution is tested thoroughly. Stay current on D365 F&SCM and related technologies, particularly Azure stack technologies that support the solution. Mentor junior staff, sharing knowledge and experience to grow the team’s capability. Flexible with time and able to work in a process-oriented environment. Excellent communicator with ability to operate within cross functional teams. Advise customers on best practices for D365 F&SCM finance processes, user interface, and architecture. Collaborate with training teams to deliver and create super users and end users training, as needed. Participate in pre-sales engagements and work with the sales team on tender responses, estimates and customer demonstrations. Facilitate functional sessions and weekly status meetings with clients, driving decisions as appropriate. Own project deliverables (status reports, documentation, test plans) and take responsibility for project success. Provide weekly status reporting in conjunction with the Technical Architect and Project Management. Skills and Experience Experience in project operations and PMA, focusing on WIP, revenue recognition, and WBS across multiple sectors. Solid Microsoft platform software experience. Extensive experience as a finance functional lead or solution architect with AX or D365 F&O; D365 Project Ops experience is a plus. At least 5 end-to-end full life cycle implementations of AX or D365 F&O. Expert knowledge of finance with industry experience across several sectors. Experience using Microsoft DevOps to manage project deliverables. Experience leading projects using all aspects of LCS. Able to manage or lead multiple large projects (6-24 months) with strong organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication; comfortable speaking with clients at all levels. Ability to balance short-term demands with long-term vision through the implementation process. Adherence to HCLTech guiding principles. Advanced use of Microsoft Project, Excel, Word, and Visio. Ability to work remotely and on customer sites; regular travel is expected. Qualifications MBA / M.Com / B.Com / B.Tech / B.E or equivalent from a reputed university.
