Senior Software Engineer, AI Model Serving - Calgary, Canada Speechify, a leader in text‑to‑speech technology, is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to build and scale the AI model serving infrastructure that powers our products. Overview This role is central to ensuring our infrastructure scales efficiently, optimising key product flows, and constructing resilient end‑to‑end systems. You will work on the backend of the AI service that delivers high‑quality voice synthesis to millions of users worldwide. What You’ll Do Develop state‑of‑the‑art voice cloning and text‑to‑speech services with low latency and high quality. Design and maintain the deployment pipeline for AI models, ensuring reliability, scalability, and cost‑effectiveness. Collaborate with data scientists and product managers to ship production‑ready models and features. Automate testing, monitoring, and performance optimisation for model serving at scale. Ideal Candidate Should Have Proven experience in backend development using Python. Direct experience with Google Cloud Platform and familiarity with AWS, Azure, or other cloud providers. Strong knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for containerised deployments. Hands‑on experience deploying large‑scale NLP or TTS models to production.
