Supplier Quality Engineer

What’s the Job? Location: On-site Pay Rate: $45/hr. Potential for Extension: Yes Potential for Full-Time Conversion: Yes 12 Month Contract About the Role As a Supplier Quality Manufacturing Engineer , you will lead supplier qualification activities, resolve quality issues, and drive continuous improvement across the supply chain. This is not an entry-level role —an aerospace background is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities Lead Product and Process Qualifications (PPQs) at suppliers. Contain, manage, and resolve quality issues related to non-conforming components. Manage suppliers to properly handle non-conformance issues. Assist with process improvements and cost reduction initiatives. Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions using problem-resolution tools. Audit suppliers to ensure manufacturing capability and quality systems compliance. Develop supplier capability for current and future requirements. Collaborate with customer-facing teams to address potential product non-conformances. Required Qualifications Technical training or degree in quality, mechanical, or electrical engineering. Familiarity with Quality Management Systems (ISO9001), SQM, and quality control routines. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and GD&T interpretation. Ability to manage multiple investigations and projects simultaneously. Experience with inspection methodologies and capability assessments. Self-motivated with strong ownership of projects.
