Senior Software Development Engineer, Backend (Foundation Services) Remote Who we are Recharge is the subscription platform for the world’s fastest-growing and most innovative brands. The Foundation Services team at Recharge builds and operates many core systems that power our platform. We’re responsible for our event‑bus implementations, charge processing systems, integrations with partners such as Shopify and Klaviyo, and the webhooks that connect Recharge to the broader ecosystem. Each week, our systems handle millions of charge attempts and process more than a billion events. You bring strong technical skills, curiosity, and a practical mindset to your work. You’ll be a great fit if you: Have 5+ years of backend experience with technologies such as Python, GCP (Cloud Functions, Pub/Sub), MySQL, and Redis, and are comfortable in distributed, event‑driven, and cloud‑native environments. Communicate clearly across remote channels and contribute thoughtfully to discussions and reviews. Approach challenges with initiative and accountability, balancing pragmatism with technical depth. Compensation Recharge’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay‑for‑performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. Salary ranges are designed to be competitive and aligned with country specific practices, while individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, and experience. The compensation listed is not inclusive of any equity and benefits that might exist in your total compensation package.
