Overview Manager, IT Core role at Medavie Health NL (MHNL). Reporting to the Director, Information Technology, the Manager, IT Core, is responsible for aligning assigned Information Technology assets and processes with the business direction of Medavie Health Services and its subsidiaries. In support of 24/7 emergency operations, the role coordinates teams of staff, vendors, external partners and IT consultants across multiple organizations and locations. The focus is to ensure proposed solutions adhere to industry best practices within a fast-paced, collaborative environment that fosters teamwork, effective internal and staff communications, and opportunities for personal and professional growth. The role includes budgeting, forecasting, estimating and cost control, with regular interaction with operating companies\' senior management to review, request or justify costs. Ensure proposed IT solutions adhere to industry best practices and organizational standards. Foster a collaborative environment with strong internal and external communications and support personal and professional growth across MHNL. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, estimating and cost control related to IT assets and projects. Interact with operating companies\' senior management to review, request or justify costs on a regular basis. Qualifications University degree or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Minimum 10 years of experience in information systems management or information systems initiative management, preferably in health care. Experience managing teams of IT professionals, preferably in a 24/7 emergency operations environment. Experience driving process improvement, functional design, and organizational vision. Experience in needs analysis, software/system selection methodologies, initiative management and budgeting. Ability to earn confidence, trust and respect from colleagues; clear and concise communication; follow-through on commitments. Demonstrated leadership, self-starter, decision-maker and problem-solver capabilities. Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong presentation and consultative skills. Strong relationship management skills for working with multiple stakeholders, government, management, vendors and staff.
