Engineer III - Sensor (Remote) Join CrowdStrike, a global leader in cybersecurity dedicated to protecting people, processes, and technologies across modern organizations. Overview CrowdStrike Falcon is a two‑component security product. One component is a lightweight sensor agent that observes system activity, recognizes malicious behaviors, and provides on‑box prevention and remote telemetry to the Falcon cloud. The cloud component aggregates telemetry, correlates behavior across machines, and presents prioritized threat summaries to customers. About the Role This Software Development Engineer will build the lightweight agent for container‑optimized Linux distros, extending the Falcon platform to secure cloud workloads. The role leverages eBPF and related technologies to provide visibility, detection, and prevention for container processes in Kubernetes and other orchestration environments. What You'll Do Create and maintain high‑performance Linux system software components; analyze complex features and design effective test strategies. Ensure reliability and performance through monitoring, testing, and debugging; identify root causes and improve tests. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate sensor and cloud solutions; support a culture of high product quality. Participate in code reviews and provide technical guidance; apply best practices in secure coding, testing, performance measurement, CI/CD, and OS internals. Lead strategic initiatives focused on container and orchestrator security in public and private cloud. Other assigned projects. What You'll Need 5+ years of experience building product features for Linux/Unix in C/C++ with high concurrency, high reliability, and low‑level performance requirements. Experience developing production eBPF code for security or networking. Experience designing and developing container runtime engines, monitoring software, or optimized VM environments for containers. Experience programming cloud‑native workloads using public cloud platforms and container technologies such as AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker. Experience shipping major features and releases on a team.
