Job Title Registered Nurse (RN) – Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Pay Range CA$53.00/hr – CA$63.00/hr Actual pay will be based on experience and skills. Summary We are seeking experienced and compassionate ICU Registered Nurses to join critical care teams across British Columbia. In this role, you will provide advanced nursing care to critically ill patients, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and support patients and families through complex and high‑risk clinical situations. Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in ICU settings Perform continuous patient assessments, monitoring vital signs, hemodynamics, and neurological status Administer medications, IV infusions, and blood products according to protocols Operate and manage critical care equipment including ventilators, cardiac monitors, and infusion pumps Recognize and respond to patient deterioration and medical emergencies Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and allied health professionals Provide emotional support, education, and clear communication to patients and families Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to hospital policies and standards Follow infection control, patient safety, and quality improvement practices Location ICU departments across British Columbia Requirements – What You’ll Bring Current registration with BCCNM as a Registered Nurse (or eligibility) Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent Recent ICU or Critical Care nursing experience required ACLS certification required; CCRN or Critical Care specialty training an asset Strong knowledge of critical care protocols, medications, and equipment Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills Ability to perform effectively in fast‑paced, high‑pressure environments Commitment to patient safety, ethical practice, and compassionate care Benefits Work in leading hospitals and critical care units across British Columbia Gain exposure to diverse ICU settings, including medical, surgical, and cardiac ICUs Access professional development, training, and career growth opportunities Be part of a team making a meaningful impact on critically ill patients and their families Seniority Level Mid‑Senior level Employment Type Contract Job Function Health Care Provider Industries Staffing and Recruiting, Hospitals and Health Care, Nursing Homes and Residential Care Facilities Equal Employment Opportunity Statement We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion across all areas of recruitment and care. #J-18808-Ljbffr
