Climate & Energy Analyst Position: permanent, full-time (40 hours a week), based out of office at 1801 Hollis. Potential Alternative Titles Infrastructure Advisory Analyst Climate and Decarbonization Project Coordinator Role Overview As a Climate and Energy Analyst, you’ll contribute to projects that help communities, utilities, and institutions advance toward low‑carbon and climate‑resilient infrastructure systems. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will help translate policy goals and climate targets into actionable engineering, planning, and investment strategies. This role is ideal for an early‑career professional who combines strong analytical skills with curiosity about energy systems, infrastructure resilience, and sustainable community development. You will support both strategic and technical workstreams, from data analysis and research to client engagement and implementation support. Key Responsibilities Project Support & Technical Analysis Support the development of energy transition, net‑zero, and climate adaptation strategies for municipalities and infrastructure clients. Assist in energy and emissions modeling, climate risk assessments, and resilience planning across sectors such as water, transportation, and buildings. Research and summarize funding opportunities, policies, and regulatory requirements related to sustainable infrastructure. Help prepare business cases, feasibility studies, and grant applications for low‑carbon and resilient infrastructure projects. Conduct background data collection and develop visualizations for reports and presentations. Collaboration & Delivery Work closely with engineers, architects, planners, and sustainability specialists to integrate climate and energy considerations into project designs. Assist in organizing and documenting stakeholder workshops, technical meetings, and community consultations. Contribute to the preparation of technical memos, summary reports, and client presentations. Support the coordination of project tasks and deliverables under guidance from senior team members. Knowledge Development & Innovation Monitor and summarize new technologies, design standards, and tools for decarbonization and resilience planning. Help build and maintain internal databases and case studies of resilient infrastructure and energy transition best practices. Contribute to internal learning sessions, templates, and process improvements. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in environmental studies, engineering, planning, geography, economics, or another relevant field. Master’s Degree (MREM, MBA or other relevant fields) will be considered an asset. 3–5 years of professional experience in sustainability, energy, infrastructure, or related consulting or public‑sector work. Working knowledge of at least two of the following: Climate risk assessment or adaptation planning Energy data analysis or modeling (e.g., Excel or specialized modelling tools) Infrastructure funding and capital planning Policy or program development related to climate or energy Strong research, writing, and data analysis skills. Comfortable synthesizing complex technical or policy information for diverse audiences. Excellent teamwork, organization, and communication skills. You Bring Curiosity about how climate policy, engineering, and community development intersect. A collaborative mindset and a willingness to learn from technical and professional peers. Comfort working with both quantitative data and qualitative insights. An enthusiasm for helping communities implement real, measurable climate action through infrastructure. #J-18808-Ljbffr
