The Opportunity Our client is seeking experienced software developers who thrive on complex technical challenges, are motivated by impact, and want to help shape the future of financial services. This role is well suited to engineers with interests spanning backend systems, product engineering, platform scalability, or full-stack development. What You’ll Do Collaborate with cross-functional teams of software engineers, data scientists, product managers, and designers to deliver high-quality web and mobile experiences for customers. Ship impactful projects regularly, solving meaningful problems using modern, cutting-edge technologies. Work across the full technology stack to iteratively build, test, deploy and monitor reliable, production-grade software. Technology Environment Service-oriented architecture comprising 100+ services. Backend services split primarily between Ruby on Rails and Java/Kotlin, with some teams using Python. Frontend applications built using React and Angular. Cloud infrastructure hosted on Amazon Web Services, leveraging tools such as RDS, Aurora, SQS, SNS, S3, and Kafka. Strong infrastructure and security teams, with access to enterprise-grade AI technologies. Robust tooling and best practices for profiling, logging, tracing, experimentation, and observability. What You’ll Bring Proven experience scoping and delivering medium-to-large features for distributed systems in production environments. Strong skills in code reviews and diagnosing design or performance issues. Solid understanding of common design patterns and relational databases (SQL). Experience working across both backend and frontend development frameworks. Comfort participating in on-call rotations and system maintenance. Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. A proactive approach to improving documentation, operational excellence, and overall code quality. Hands‑on experience with technologies such as React or React Native, Ruby on Rails, Java, Kotlin, and/or Python. Working knowledge of GraphQL and Kafka. Familiarity with Kubernetes and tools such as Temporal and DataDog.
