Who we are OnDeck Marketing is changing out-of-home (OOH) advertising for post-secondary recruitment. We’re a fast-moving startup that values ownership, humility, teamwork, and measurable results. We build high-impact pilot campaigns and manage a growing network of digital screens in schools. Role summary Reporting directly to the CEO, the Director of Operations will own day-to-day operational delivery across field deployments, vendor management, finance & commercial ops, people operations, platform reliability, and compliance. This senior, hands‑on leader will convert strategy into dependable processes and scalable systems. Core responsibilities Operational leadership & systems: Own installations, maintenance, inventory, SOPs and escalation runbooks. Drive first‑time‑right installs and reliable field execution. Vendor & partner management: Negotiate and manage suppliers, installers and SLAs; oversee procurement, spare‑parts and warranties. Finance & commercial ops: Partner on P&L impacts, installation budgets, billing/reconciliation and operational forecasting. People & HR operations: Hire, onboard, train and schedule field staff and contractors; implement safety and access procedures. Technology & platform reliability: Maintain uptime for operational platforms (Skykit / asset management / ticketing), own integrations and data quality. Compliance & risk: Manage permits, landlord approvals, insurance, incident response and recordkeeping. Success KPIs ≥95% installs completed on agreed activation date with signed proof‑of‑play. Reduced installation cost per site and improved first‑time‑right rates. ≥99% scheduled playback availability (or agreed SLA). ≥90% vendor SLA compliance and improved team retention. Documented SOPs and weekly operational dashboards for CEO review. Required experience 5+ years in senior operations (higher‑ed, OOH/advertising, telecom, logistics, facilities management or similar). Proven experience managing field installations, vendor networks and cross‑functional teams. Strong track record in process design, SOW/vendor negotiation and operational budgeting. Familiarity with ticketing/asset management systems and CRM/platform integrations. DOOH experience is a plus. Nice to have Experience with revenue‑share billing and reconciliations, school boards or multi‑site landlords, and AV/digital signage hardware deployments.
