2026 Summer Student Program We invite students to join the Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) this summer, where your potential meets purpose. In 2026, you will work full‑time in the office, up to five days a week, and contribute to projects that help injured or ill workers recover and return to work, while gaining hands‑on experience and professional development. Role Overview The WSIB is a community focused on prevention, recovery, and workplace safety for all Ontarians. Growth and development are key, and we celebrate diverse perspectives. Responsibilities and Work Areas Operations – Work with injured or ill workers, assisting their recovery and return to work. Care Navigation Contract Management Healthcare Payment Health Services Management Mental Stress Injuries Program Professional Practice Return to Work Serious Injury Program Service Excellence – Provide customer support for WSIB users. Employer Account Services Claims Registration Health and Safety Program Design and Enablement Program Effectiveness Service Excellence Administrative Workforce Management Technology – Develop electronic solutions, data analysis and vendor management. Business and Advanced Analytics Customer and Channel Experience Information Management Shared Service IT Portfolio and Planning IT Performance Management IT Security and Risk Management IT Application Management Services Client Engagement and Service Delivery Finance – Maintain the financial health of the organization. Corporate Compliance Corporate Risk Management Services Enterprise Portfolio Governance Legal Services Office of the President Real Estate and Facilities Management Services Strategy and Planning Professional Requirements and Qualifications Legally authorized to work in Ontario, Canada full‑time (36.25 hours/week). Full‑time post‑secondary student at a recognized institution in September 2026. Returning to studies in the next term or graduated within the last six months is acceptable. Final‑year students must provide proof of enrollment for the last semester. Available full‑time for the entire summer (May 4 – September 4 2026) with no planned absences. Upon advancing in the recruitment process, a proof of legal work eligibility is required. Application Requirements Resume and cover letter in a single MS Word or PDF document. Copy of the most recent GPA transcript. First‑year students may submit a letter of enrollment if an official transcript is not yet available. Proof of enrollment for the September 2025 or September 2026 school year. Final‑year students must provide proof for their last semester.
