Process Engineering Lead/Senior Process Engineer

Process Engineering Lead / Senior Process Engineer Position located in Greater Toronto Area, Ontario. Join WSP’s Resources subsector to design and engineer processed facilities for oil, gas, mining and industrial projects. About the Role As the process discipline lead on projects ranging from conceptual studies to detailed engineering, you will manage client relationships, project quality, budget and schedule targets. You will communicate and coordinate with team members, other WSP groups, equipment vendors, clients and sub‑contractors. You will prepare technical reports, specifications, process schematics and layout drawings, review deliverables produced by junior and intermediate colleagues and mentor staff. You will manage multiple simultaneous projects, support senior staff, contribute to business development and travel as needed. Key Responsibilities Lead process engineering analysis and design for large‑scale projects. Develop process and technology selection, equipment sizing and specification, mass balance, hydraulic analysis and 3D layout review. Prepare and review technical reports, specifications and process schematics. Manage client relationships, project quality, budget and schedule targets. Mentor and provide on‑the‑job training for junior and intermediate colleagues. Manage project resource and personal time management; support senior staff with budgeting, strategy development and execution. Contribute to proposal development and business development activities. Travel for business meetings and fieldwork as required. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline. 12+ years’ experience as a process engineer in consulting with previous lead experience. Experience in oil and gas (gas processing), mining infrastructure, utilities or industrial applications. Current P.Eng license in Ontario. Proficiency with HYSIS, AFT Fathom or Promax software packages (asset). Strong interpersonal and client relationship skills. Strong project management and discipline lead skills.
