Responsibilities Provide advanced engineering support to manufacturing operations by diagnosing production issues, enhancing process efficiency, shortening cycle times, and driving reductions in scrap and waste. Partner with the maintenance department to deliver high‑level troubleshooting expertise, develop technical competency through training, and implement strategies that minimize unplanned downtime. Assist maintenance teams in maintaining and improving plant electrical power systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation. Lead all engineering aspects of assigned projects, including feasibility assessments, conceptual and detailed design, equipment evaluation, and final selection of technologies. Continuously evaluate and refine manufacturing processes to maximize operational performance while supporting the integration and launch of new products. Champion and execute cost‑optimization initiatives, equipment standardization programs, and continuous‑improvement activities across the facility. Plan, design, and implement capital improvement projects, providing specialized technical guidance in electrical engineering and process‑equipment design. Engage with key equipment suppliers to finalize system specifications, resolve technical design challenges, and oversee issuance of purchase orders and contractual documents for approved projects. Work collaboratively with production teams, contractors, and fellow engineers to troubleshoot technical issues and ensure that equipment installations and modifications are completed accurately and on schedule. Conduct factory acceptance testing (FAT) at supplier sites to validate equipment performance and ensure full compliance with plant requirements prior to shipment. Develop comprehensive training materials and documentation to support the safe and effective operation of new or upgraded systems. Clearly communicate all equipment improvements, design revisions, and process changes to relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment and proper implementation. Perform additional engineering duties as assigned in support of plant operations and organizational objectives. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering; P.Eng. designation is strongly preferred . Proven ability to interpret and apply technical drawings, equipment manuals, engineering bulletins, and related documentation. Hands‑on experience working with electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic control systems. Knowledgeable in control valves, actuators, positioners, and various types of field instrumentation. Skilled in selecting instrumentation based on process requirements and application criteria.
