We are looking for a dynamic and bilingual DevOps Engineer to join our Data Hub team, where you will play a critical role in shaping our data infrastructure.


Job Overview:

As a Bilingual DevOps Engineer on our Data Hub team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure that supports our data-centric applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, software developers, and IT professionals, to ensure seamless integration and deployment of data services. Your expertise in both DevOps practices and data management will be crucial in driving the efficiency and scalability of our data platforms.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Develop and maintain infrastructure using IaC tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation to ensure consistent and reliable deployments.
  • CI/CD Pipeline Management: Design, implement, and manage continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to automate the deployment of applications and services.
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, ensuring high availability, security, and cost-efficiency.
  • Monitoring & Logging: Implement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure the health and performance of data systems.
  • Security & Compliance: Ensure that all deployments meet security standards and compliance requirements, including data protection regulations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with data engineers and other stakeholders to integrate and deploy data processing solutions, ensuring they meet the needs of the business.
  • Troubleshooting: Quickly identify and resolve issues within the infrastructure and deployment processes to minimize downtime and ensure service reliability.
  • Automation: Continuously seek opportunities to automate processes and improve efficiency across the DevOps lifecycle.
  • Bilingual Communication: Effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders in both English and French, ensuring clear and concise information exchange.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in a DevOps role, with a focus on data infrastructure and cloud environments.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in IaC tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
  • Strong experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
  • Extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Solid understanding of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Knowledge of data management and processing technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka) is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong command of both English and French, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
