Job Description As a Senior Electrical Engineer (Mining) , you will be part of the Mining Team, based in one of our offices in Brampton, Sudbury, North Bay, Thompson, St John, or Thunder Bay. What a day at EXP has in store for you PLC, Power, Automation, and instrumentation experience in mining required. Ensure engineering quality standards are met on assigned projects. Oversee development of design concepts by designers, ensuring proper application and execution. Verify work quality regarding specifications, reports, code application, equipment selection, and drawings. Apply EXP’s risk management practices to electrical engineering tasks. Have a solid understanding of engineering fundamentals and advanced concepts to execute discipline engineering tasks. Encourage collaboration to find the best solutions. Manage work plans and deliverables across multiple projects within budgeted hours. Execute complex electrical designs with conflicting requirements or difficult coordination. Perform front-end loading of electrical systems for projects. Contribute to revisions of EXP’s design standards and master specifications. Evaluate value engineering options considering risk. Develop basis of design narratives documenting project scope. Create electrical one-lines, load lists, area classifications, etc. Participate in HAZOP, PHA, and safety reviews. What Your Experience Looks Like Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university. EIT or registered P.Eng. 5-10+ years of experience in mining or industrial industries.
