AWS Cloud Data Architect

We are looking for a highly skilled AWS Cloud Data Architect to join our FD Data team. The ideal candidate will be an experienced Python engineer/architect with a strong background in designing and architecting cloud-based data pipelines. This role focuses on building robust data factory frameworks/components.


Essential Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Cloud Data Architect, preferably in AWS, AWS Expertise:
  • AWS Lake Formation, AWS Glue, AWS S3, AWS Athena, AWS EMR (Serverless), EC2
  • AWS Lambda, AWS DMS, AWS QuickSight, AWS Step Functions, SQS/SNS
  • RDS Postgres, MySQL, Aurora, DynamoDB, MWAA (Managed Workflows for Apache Airflow)
  • Expertise in Python programming, with a deep understanding of the PySpark library. Experience in building and maintaining data analysis frameworks, ideally within the financial sector.


Big Data Technologies:

  • Hadoop, HDFS, Spark, PySpark, Hive, Trino, Jupyter, Databricks
  • Strong background in architecting code and data pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with end-to-end data platform design, following Data Mesh and Data Fabric principles.
  • Ability to bridge the gap between business, technology, and data architectures.
  • Advanced knowledge of software design and development methodologies, including Agile and Waterfall.


Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

  • Experience in the financial industry.
  • Familiarity with additional data processing libraries and tools.
  • Proven expertise in data modelling.
