Test Automation Developer, Hybrid work in Ottawa.


On behalf of our leading-industry client, Procom is seeking a Software Automation Developer. The successful candidate will be part of the Test Automation & Tools Development team involved in the delivery of software solutions that facilitate automated testing. You will develop and maintain automated test scripts, test frameworks, and test tools.


Qualifications Required

-Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

-3+ years experience in Python test development, and experience with embedded system testing

-Experience with automated testing environment and frameworks (ie: Slash)

-Experience with continuous integration system (Jenkins)

-Analytical with the ability to produce creative and effective software solutions to problems

-Strong verbal and written communication skills

-Strong aptitude for troubleshooting and problem solving


Nice to Have

-Experience with REST APIs, and interfacing with Test Case management system (ie: TestRail) and Defect Tracking system (ie: JIRA)

-Embedded system testing experience

-Experience with database (SQL)

-Ability to work in a multi-site team environment where self-driven and self-motivate capabilities are key qualities
