As the Director of Enterprise Analytics Platforms, you’ll define and execute the strategic vision for Data & Analytics in our centralized, cloud self-serve data environment. In this high-impact leadership role, you provide thought leadership and guidance across our data & analytics communities of practice and strategic advice for business leaders. Your mandate is broad: including cloud data architecture, Infrastructure as Code, ML OPS, BI and data visualization tools, and data messaging platforms. You will be a key member of our Data Platforms leadership team, collaborating closely with peers across and the broader CIO organization to ensure our platforms not only meet today’s needs, but are built for what’s next. You’ll lead a diverse team of Managers, data architects, data management professionals, data product owners and developers tasked with the development and ownership of both strategic roadmaps and operational management, migration and Engineering excellence and strategic leadership. What you’ll do Develop and execute a comprehensive technical vision for TELUS's data platforms Drive innovation by identifying and implementing emerging technologies and methodologies Lead an experienced team of data management and platform professionals and support the creation of Data & Analytics tooling roadmaps for the enterprise Provide senior-level guidance on best practices and architectural standards Oversee project portfolios and ensure timely, high-quality delivery Use your leadership and influence to drive the implementation of repeatable and reusable solutions across TELUS Lead continuous improvement initiatives in development processes Collaborate with Product groups to support a digital roadmap Partner with executives to align Data & Analytics and BI Efforts with business goals Champion and evolve our Cloud FinOps best practices Establish partnerships with various communities of practice Lead a global organization Champion the single, but decentralized, self-serve Data & Analytics platform at TELUS Create a highly engaged team and culture that strives for excellence each day Design strategies for talent acquisition, retention, and development Support and inspire team members through mentorship and career development Drive operational excellence Establish and monitor KPIs for system reliability and the constant evolution of the data platforms Oversee incident management processes and ensure SLA adherence Manage budget planning, forecasting, and expenditures Develop strategic relationships with vendors and internal partners Represent engineering in executive-level meetings and decision-making What you bring Proven track record in leading teams through digital transformation and enterprise-scale data platform delivery Experience building and leading a high-performance data management team and culture, distributed nationally Creative, strategic thinking and thoughtful decision-making skills Engaging communication style with ability to connect across all levels of an organization Experience with data architecture, frameworks, BI tools, data ingestion pipelines, data lakes and warehouses and automated deployment of tools and services Strong technical decision-making skills with a focus on scalability and performance Deep understanding of FinOps, performance and optimization and debugging 8+ years of experience leading data teams, cloud technologies, product development and supporting team members Salary Range: $128,000-$192,000 Performance Bonus or Sales Incentive Plan: 30% Actual total compensation will be determined based on factors such as knowledge, skills, performance and experience.
