Ideal candidates demonstrate a strong commitment to establishing a permanent acute care hospital practice and working collaboratively with all members of the inter‑professional team, including fellow physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, and allied health staff. Key responsibilities include admission and care management of "unattached" patients as the Most Responsible Physician (MRP), and providing supportive care for select surgical and specialty medical patients. Hospitalists will treat approximately 80% of medical inpatients and work in a collaborative, inter‑professional environment. We seek physicians passionate about acute care, thriving in a team environment, dedicated to continuous improvement, and committed to enhancing care at Langley Memorial Hospital. The new Fraser Health Contract provides reasonable daily workloads and increased compensation, with flexible scheduling (rounding lines, admission shifts, overnight shifts, virtual shifts). Clinical associates support these schedules. Eligibility & Qualifications Licensed or eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) Certified CCFP (or equivalent) or FRCP credentials ACLS certification strongly suggested Hospitalist experience, fellowship, or membership in professional hospital medicine societies is an asset Compensation New Fraser Health Hospitalist Contract pays rates as per PMA plus additional incentives. Compensation Type: Alternative Payment Arrangement.
