We are looking to add an Engineering in Training to our team at the Materials Evaluation Center This role is responsible for material failure investigations and evaluations of new products such as steel and polyethylene assets to ensure the safety and reliability of Enbridge Gas Ontario’s distribution system. What You Will Do Perform Root Cause Analysis investigations on suspect pipeline components, materials, equipment, and tools by applying manufacturing, quality management and engineering principles. Facilitate Corrective Action Plan (CAP) Committee meetings with all key stakeholders including but not limited to Sourcing Materials, Operations, Engineering, Integrity, Risk, Asset Management, etc. Issue meeting minutes and write reports in a timely manner, which include background information, root cause, manufacturer response, corrective and preventative actions to prevent recurrences. Evaluate new and/or existing materials, equipment, tools and/or pipeline components as per company procedures and/or industry standards such as CSA, ASTM, ISO, ANSI, ASME etc. Develop testing procedures and design appropriate testing apparatus to ensure completion of tests within agreed timelines. Connect with internal and external stakeholders to address nonconformances and technical matters. Required Who You Are Bachelor’s degree in engineering. Eligible for registration or currently registered as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft suite applications. Outstanding interpersonal skills – both written and verbal, for internal and external audiences. Effective time management and organizational skills with keen attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Positive attitude and willingness to learn. Passion for upholding Enbridge’s core values of Safety, Integrity, Respect, Inclusion, and High Performance. Valid Ontario Class G driver’s license. Preferred New graduate/up to 2 years of previous co-op or full-time experience in energy sector, preferably in a subject area that requires strong analytical, hands-on testing and investigative skills. Previous experience in an Oil & Gas Operations and/or Engineering environment. Working Conditions Typical office environment (50% of time), Lab environment (40% of time), and Field environment (10% of time).
