Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and strategic Purchasing Manager to oversee the Company's procurement activities. This role is critical to ensuring cost-effective sourcing, maintaining supplier performance, and supporting on‑time production within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate brings strong experience sourcing electrical components, sheet metal, and packaging materials—preferably within the lighting, electronics, or custom manufacturing sectors. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Leads and coordinates all aspects of purchasing and supplier development activities on behalf of the company; including, but not limited to supplier suitability evaluation, requests for quotation, cost breakdown analysis, negotiations, supplier cost audits, contract reviews, and supplier selection which meets the budgets, policies, ethical standards, and audit requirements of the company Improve and implement purchasing strategies, policies & procedures Supervise, support and lead purchasing department employees Ensures materials are ordered and in stock to meet company requirements for on‑time delivery, while monitoring and maintaining acceptable inventory levels Monitors supplier performance as to specifications, delivery, service and cost Ensures all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications Participate in daily production meetings to communicate and collaborate with other department heads and senior management to solve problems, develop and maintain objectives and ensure company wide consistency. Lead and drive continuous improvement projects Work with finance department to manage budgets and assist with purchasing related issues or claims. Assist with cycle count activities to identify and reconcile inventory Other related duties or projects as may be necessary Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field. 5+ years of purchasing or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment (lighting, electronics, or metal fabrication industry preferred). Experience negotiating and purchasing of electrical and industrial components 5 – 7 years Materials & Supply Chain Management, or Purchasing Management experience Strong negotiation skills & strong understanding of contract language Ability to collect data, analyze statistics, and spot trends Strategic and analytical Strong inventory control and management experience High proficiency in MS Excel, database, charting, ERP Interested candidates may send their resume to We thank all candidates but only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
