Job Title: General Labourer – Cold Storage Job Summary: The General Labourer is responsible for handling, moving, storing, and preparing goods in a cold storage environment. This role requires physical stamina, attention to safety procedures, and the ability to work efficiently in low-temperature conditions. Key Responsibilities: Load, unload, and move products within cold storage facilities Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment Stack, organize, and store goods according to storage guidelines Operate basic warehouse equipment (pallet jacks, hand trucks, etc.) Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area Follow all health, safety, and food-handling regulations Monitor product condition and report any damage or issues Work efficiently in refrigerated and frozen environments for extended periods Working Conditions: Cold and frozen temperatures (PPE provided) Physically demanding work, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods Shift work, including nights, weekends, or overtime as required Requirements & Skills: Ability to work in cold storage environments Good physical fitness and stamina Basic understanding of workplace safety procedures Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team Previous warehouse or cold storage experience is an asset but not required Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to (specify weight, e.g., 25–50 lbs) Standing, walking, and repetitive movements throughout the shift
