This position is for you Domaine Lafontaine, a friendly private residence for seniors located in Rivière-du-Loup, is looking for a motivated person to fill a full-time responsible cook position. The person will be in charge of creating menus, managing inventory and managing the schedules of kitchen employees. Experience in large volumes and RPA an asset. We offer group insurance, employee assistance program, telemedicine, free meals during your working hours and more


POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Schedule: Monday to Friday during the day with 1 weekend out of 2 on call
Salary: to be discussed


ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Managing kitchen employee schedules

Food Services

  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure good teamwork
  • Create tasty menus while respecting the expected level of quality and the allocated budget
  • Ensure the kitchen and equipment are kept clean according to established hygiene and cleanliness standards
  • Perform inventory duties, receive and store food for the kitchen
  • Perform meal preparation while supervising and mobilizing staff in the kitchen
  • Take inventory of service materials and while adhering to the budgets, proceed with procurement if necessary

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1 year of relevant experience will be considered an important asset
  • Flexibility for the work schedule
  • Good team player
  • Experience in a large restoration's volume (an asset)
