Evening Shift
Care Support Assistant
Employer: Sienna Senior Living
Location: Tullamore Community, Brampton, Ontario
Schedule: Permanent part-time evenings
Starting rate: $20.98 per hour, as per collective agreement
This is an existing vacancy supporting residents in a long-term care community. The role focuses on resident comfort, dignity, well-being, companionship and participation in daily routines and activities.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day support and help maintain a warm, safe environment for residents.
- Support residents in preparing for and attending community events.
- Offer companionship, emotional support and social interaction.
- Assist with meal service, including preparing tables and trays and serving food and beverages.
- Perform assigned housekeeping and laundry duties, including bed making, restocking supplies and cleaning bedside areas.
- Assist with resident admissions, orientations and transfers as directed.
- Transport residents to rooms, dining areas, activities and the health office as required.
Requirements
- High school diploma.
- Safe Food Handling Certificate, or willingness to obtain one.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Effective verbal and written English communication skills.
- Successful completion of applicable Vulnerable Sector Check and/or Criminal Record Check.
- Legal eligibility to work in Canada or a valid work or study permit.
