Professor, Part-Time (Medical Terminology) Join Seneca Polytechnic as a Part‑time Professor in Medical Terminology. We offer a flexible, campus‑based or virtual teaching role that supports innovation, student success, and inclusive community building. Responsibilities Provide academic leadership in the classroom, ensuring an effective and compelling learning environment for students. Ensure students are aware of course objectives, approaches, and evaluation techniques. Deliver scheduled instruction, tutoring, and academic counselling, using available resources, work experience, and field trips. Evaluate student progress and assessment within assigned courses. What You Bring to Seneca Education Diploma in Office Administration and/or RN designation. Experience Minimum 2 years of experience in a medical office administration setting. 1‑2 years of teaching experience in related subjects is an asset. Skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to deliver online teaching effectively. Strong presentation, organisational, and time‑management skills. Commitment to a collaborative, team‑based approach for problem‑solving and conflict resolution. Working knowledge of medical vocabulary and abbreviations; basic understanding of the structure and function of four body systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and familiarity with medical transcription standards. Experience with patient medical records and formatting guidelines. Commitment to equity in education. Strong relationships with industry contacts and professional networks are an asset.
