Coordinate hospital security communications using alarm monitoring, access control, and emergency call handling at Michael Garron Hospital. Support a safe environment through accountable dispatch operations.
The Protection Services Dispatcher supports security operations at Michael Garron Hospital. The position answers security lines, monitors security systems, dispatches resources, and documents activity. It also requires strong communication, organization, computing ability, and professional judgment under stress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming security and complex emergency telephone lines
- Monitor alarms, CCTV, access control, and facility wide SMS
- Dispatch security resources and document activity in Dispatch Log
- Search person and vehicle information using Perspective
- Ensure security operations follow policies and procedures
Requirements:
- High School Diploma required
- Current Security Guard or Dual security license required
- Current Standard First Aid and CPR certificates
- Knowledge of security technology and Microsoft office software
- Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills
