Job Description AECOM Buildings + Places sector is seeking a Structural Engineering Technologist for immediate employment in the Edmonton / Calgary, AB office with opportunities for hybrid work. AECOM Buildings + Places Canada (B+P Canada) is a vibrant, fully integrated team spanning architecture, engineering disciplines, landscape architecture, urban planning, design, economics, and asset management for design and infrastructure projects. Project assignments may include transit and municipal, commercial, institutional, justice, education, and government projects. Major Responsibilities Conduct structural drafting / 3D BIM for concrete, steel, and wood buildings Prepare finished design drawings from sketches, notes, and details Support preparation and submission of packages Monitor and document conformance with quality, performance, safety, and code requirements Understand and apply company procedures and policies to meet results and deadlines Work in engineering project collaboration software platforms (e.g., ProjectWise, BIM360, Autodesk Construction Cloud) Self‑check drawings for quality assurance Coordinate with colleagues in different disciplines and offices in a team‑based environment Perform responsibilities under limited supervision Qualifications Minimum Requirements College diploma in Engineering Technology + 2 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education Proficient in 3D Revit/BIM drafting Demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education considered favorable Preferred Qualifications EIT, C. Tech or CET designation, or working toward certification Ability to develop and advance drawings from conceptual to detailed design stage Good written and oral communication skills Familiarity with AutoCAD 2015 or later, Autodesk Revit Family/BIM Software, and MicroStation V.8 or later Additional Information Sponsorship is not available for this position. Relocation is not available for this position. Salary & Compensation The range for this position is CAD 65,000 to CAD 85,000 per year, based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
