The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) – Saskatoon and the University of Saskatchewan, Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative Medicine and Pain Management, is seeking locum Anesthesiologists with clinical and academic interests to provide locum coverage for the period of November 1, 2025 - June 30, 2026. The Department is an enthusiastic department focused on providing the highest level of care possible to the people of Saskatchewan. The successful candidate will work in a multidisciplinary care environment with a dedicated group of approximately 70 anesthesiologists. The department is an integrated group practice, within the context of a full service tertiary care profile with practice accessibility to the acute care sites in the Saskatoon area. The Department has a strong tradition of quality educational programming at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The successful candidate will have appointments with both the SHA and the University of Saskatchewan. Compensation details: We offer competitive compensation commensurate with Canadian national norms on a FFS basis or a daily contract rate. Benefits are the responsibility of the successful. It is home to the newly constructed Academic Health Science Complex and two of the largest science projects in the country – the Canadian Light Source synchrotron and the Vaccine and Infectious Disease Organization/International Vaccine. A users group is available for collaborative research with clinical faculty using the $173.5 million Canadian Light Source synchrotron, owned by the University of Saskatchewan. The College of Medicine has an intake of 100 students per year with a commensurate number of positions for residency training.
