Locum - Family Medicine - Barrington Passage Contract Expected Hours: Part-time hours (0.2 FTE) Estimated Annual Salary: To Be Determined Zone: Western Zone Specialization: Family Practice Type of Remuneration: Daily Rate Incentive Programs Available: No Barrington Passage offers a unique opportunity for a family physician to provide office-based comprehensive primary care one day a week (0.2 FTE) at Dr. K Yee Family Practice Inc. in Barrington Passage, Nova Scotia. The successful candidate will have the option to join the hospitalist group at Yarmouth Regional Hospital (YRH), located approximately 30 minutes away, to provide inpatient care. Additional opportunities include participation in teaching through the Dalhousie University Family Medicine residency program in Yarmouth or with medical students through Dalhousie University. There is also the potential to provide nursing home care, emergency medicine, or join the team of family medicine physicians offering primary maternal care and low-risk deliveries at YRH. Beyond Barrington Passage and Yarmouth, various practice opportunities are available in nearby Shelburne at Roseway Hospital. With a range of options to tailor your practice, this opportunity offers flexibility and professional growth in a welcoming coastal community. Barrington Passage is seeking a Family Physician to provide Locum coverage during a period of active recruitment. Locum physicians provide coverage for family practices, including inpatient and nursing home care, as well as specialist hospital and office coverage as requested. Compensation includes a minimum daily income guarantee of $1,200 for family physicians ($600 for half-day), with additional earnings if shadow billings exceed this amount. Travel expenses, including kilometrage, per diems, accommodations (up to $300 per night), and airfare (up to $1,500), are reimbursed, along with travel time up to 10 hours per week. Licensing fees for CPSNS are covered, and locum physicians may claim Facility On Call fees under specific conditions.
